Understanding the ESOS Act and National Code 2018 for Teachers and Academics
This workshop will provide Academics and Teaching staff context to the National Code 2018 and how it relates to their day-to-day activities.
This workshop has been specified designed for those working in teaching or academia in CRICOS registered providers. This workshop will provide context on international education in Australia, the ESOS Framework, an overview of the National Code 2018 requirements and how it relates to those working in teaching and academic roles.
This workshop will also discuss Provider Defaults under Tuition Protection Service and the ESOS Act 2000, and best practice guidelines on how to avoid these defaults.
This workshop includes the following modules:
- Course introduction
- Fundamentals of International Education in Australia
- Fundamentals of the ESOS Framework and National Code 2018
- A detailed overview of Standards 1 - 11 of the National Code 2018
- Other important aspects of the ESOS Act 2000
- Questionnaire
- Course conclusion
Successful completion of all modules and questionnaire will ensure that a Certificate of Participation will be provided.
